A recipient of the Pro-Arte Prize given by the Ministry of Culture of Hungary in for hisperformance and dissemination of the music of Ferenc Liszt and Bela Bartok McCausland-Dieppa has toured extensively across the globe, including the United States, Europe, Latin America, Japan, India, United Kingdom, Australia and Eastern Europe to critical acclaim. Drawing music lovers from all over the world, McCausland-Dieppa played for a full house at New York City’s Carnegie Hall first Colombian pianist to do so successfully. His piano repertoireincludes Liszt, Bartok, Chopin, Beethoven, Ravel as well as Latin-American and Spanish contemporary composers.In March 2006 celebrating Hungary's 50 years since the 1956 revolution Mr. McCausland-Dieppa received the commemoration at Columbia University in New York with additional performances at the United Nations along with Henry Kissinger as moderator. The conductor and composer founder of Santa Fe Orchestra- dedicated to the performance of music from Colombia and its caribbean coast in fusion style of Latin-Caribbean, Jazz and Classical including full percussion is passionate of the music of the caribbean-his place of birth. 'Variaciones sobre un tema de Fruko' (Variations on a theme by Fruko) for string quartet, bass, oboe full latin percussion and piano - an original composition from Colombia's Caribbean merges salsa, jazz and classical in a passionate, virtuosic yet perfectly balanced format building on the natural structure of the genre in dance movements. His many arrangements include La Pollera Colorada, Espumas, La Piragua, from Colombia as well as other classic arrangements from the Latin-American song book - Besame Mucho, Eu sei que vou te Amar, Zamba en una Nota, Insensatez, and originals such as Each Day. Santa Fe Orch. has been invited by H.E. Nestor Osorio- Embassador of Colombia to the United Nations to perform in NYC Lincoln Center during the next concert season. Roberto McCausland-Dieppa recordings include Liszt, Ravel, Debussy, Mompou, Ravel, Chopin and Beethoven. Additionally, Universidad del Norte, Colombia, has produced a documentary about his musical upbringing and six dvd recordings including Liszt, Chopin, Bartok, Debussy, Mompou and Mozart. His committment to the future of music is perpetuated by several compact discs, including, “Beethoven for Kids and Teens” and "Beethoven for Kids". Roberto is also the creator of the multi-media character "Robelio" featuring a book, and C.D. He received numerous prizes and awards, including The Alice B.
